Role: Electrician
Salary: £32,549 base salary + additional £0.27 - £4.73 merit rate per hour, overtime and testing hourly rate where applicable
Role based: Peterborough, PE4 5ET
We are looking for an Electrician to join Peterborough Hire Centre. As an Electrician you will refurbish and fit out the complete range of Portakabin buildings to the highest possible standards, specialising in electrical work. As well as aftersales, rectification and problem-solving work.
As an Electrician, you will:
* Understand and apply the electrical principles and works associated with the design, building, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
* Ensure compliance relevant Health and Safety practices and all applicable legislation to encourage and maintain zero harm environment and culture.
* Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring that all installations meet current regulations.
* Ensure that all buildings are tested to the required standards, including the completion of appropriate documentation/certification where applicable.
* As applicable assume responsibility as the qualified supervisor and therefore oversee all testing requirements for the Hire Centre.
* Conduct fault finding and undertake rectifications of existing systems both on and off site.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has achieved a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme / Indentures (or AM2)& City & Guilds 2360 or* NVQ Level 3 electrical installation,
City & Guilds 2380/2381 (IEE Wiring Regs - 18th Edition) or* JIB Card - Electrician (Must include IEE Wiring Regs 18th Edition),
* City & Guilds 2395 Inspection, Testing and Certification
* Ideally with previous experience working within the construction industry, however if you hold the relevant qualifications and the right learning attitude, we will consider little or no experience.
* Will also have an understanding of the relevant health and safety practices and applicable legislation.
* You should have strong communication skills able to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers in order to deliver a high level of customer service.
* Holds a full UK Driving License
