Role: Process Worker
Location: York
We are seeking a Process Worker to join us in the Stores team in York.
You will work effectively as part of a team to ensure timescales for completing work are achieved and quality standards reached.
In addition to ensuring materials are picked, packed and delivered on time to the correct location to support production programs, taking into account Health and safety by assisting the safe movement of vehicles both on and off site as required and supporting the department in complying with industry guidelines around environmental requirements.
As a Process Worker, you will:
- To work within the Inventory team to pick, pack and deliver materials from our main store locations into our production lines in support of production programs.
- To ensure material movements are recorded timely within our material control system and material discrepancies, damage and additional material requests are captured and reported.
- To lease directly with production operatives and production team leaders to respond to any schedule changes that require material support.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised to work safely at all times whilst delivering excellent levels of housekeeping in order to maintain a safe working environment for all.
- Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety, inclusive of COSHH
- Ensure any direct working areas are maintained to a safe and orderly standard
- Ensure SAP is updated with material movements timely
- Ensure that all laid Quality systems e.g. ISO 9001 & 14001 are adhered to
- We require flexibility across all our Manufacturing areas to meet workload demands so when required you will be expected to carry out tasks across other areas

Our ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience gained within a manufacturing / construction industry
- Good planning, organisational and problem solving skills
- Experience within a similar role
- Working knowledge of SAP (desirable), ability to use systems as part of their daily role is essential
- FLT Certificate
