We have an exciting opportunity for someone to further their Electrical studies, and take steps into the electrical trade and join us as an Electrical Apprentice at our Merseyside Hire and Service Centre! This scheme will allow you to learn the vital skills of how to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems which will create a great foundation for a career as an Electrician. 

You will have various channels of support including your line manager, Chargehand supervisor, colleagues, and a mentor. You will also connect with other apprentices across the business to create support networks and share experiences. 

Your working pattern will be 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30, finishing on Friday at 15:30 (inclusive of lunch breaks). 

Our professional apprenticeship programme has been developed to ensure you are supported throughout every step of your journey. Your 4-year apprenticeship will be delivered through a blended learning approach supported by our learning provider, Riverside College. You will be stretched, challenged and supported by a business that views your professional development as a priority.   
During the programme you will complete a Level 3 Installation Electrician apprenticeship, working across a range of projects, which will offer the breadth and variety to support your development.

We are considering candidates that hold a minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation. If you are looking to start a career in the Electrical trade, then we would be delighted to hear from you! 

What we’re looking for...

Essential qualifications:

  • Maths and English GCSEs at Grades 9 - 4 (A*- C) 

  • Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation 

Role Details

Role Responsibilities

  • Understanding and applying the electrical principles associated with the design, building, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. 

  • Ensure compliance relevant Health and Safety practices and all applicable legislation to encourage and maintain zero harm environment and culture. 

  • Ensure that buildings are tested to the required standards where necessary whilst under supervision. 

  • To support on supplementary process-based tasks where required, that may not be directly electrical related.
