Role: Facilities Site Manager
Salary: £56,000k - £60,800k and Electric Company Car and EV charging point if required
Location: York – Thursday to Sunday
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Site Manager to join our team. You’re a Facilities Site Manager who would relish the opportunity to join an established and welcoming team working from our Head office in York.
The Site Manager is a key role and will oversee the effective management of the York Manufacturing site facilities, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, and alignment with company objectives. This role involves coordinating maintenance and facilities activities while fostering a safe, well-maintained, and operationally efficient site environment.
The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management of maintenance activities, contractor management and resource planning, ensuring the facilities function effectively to support business needs.
You must have a background in site management within the construction/building site industry.

Role Responsibilities
*Managing day-to-day operations, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades ensuring all facilities and assets are maintained to the required standard, within budget.
*The role will establish a permanent weekend management presence.
*Select, manage, and evaluate external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and compliance.
*Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and building regulations.
*Leading and motivating teams to deliver optimal performance.
*To manage all site activities to ensure that safety, programme, cost and quality objectives are met.
*Coordinate planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs for site assets, infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.
*Monitor and manage the performance of service contracts, ensuring delivery meets agreed service levels.
*Assist the Engineering Manager in the development and implementation of capital and revenue projects and strategies for site improvements and modernisation to align with business needs.
*Ensure site compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, building regulations, fire, electrical fixed wiring, and environmental standards.
*Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and permits.
*Coordinate compliance audits, inspections, and remedial actions to address identified issues.
*Manage the site maintenance and facilities team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
*Communicate effectively with senior management, stakeholders, colleagues, and team members.
*Maintain transparency in operations, sharing updates, KPI’s, addressing all concerns proactively.
Essential Criteria - As an experienced Site Manager, you will need:
*A degree or HNC equivalent in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
*Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
*Knowledge / training / certification in CDM Regulations
*Experience managing compliance activities and documentation
*Excellent leadership and team management experience in a facilities or maintenance environment
*Health and Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH)
*In depth experience working with contractors and vendors
*Technical understanding of facilities and maintenance operations
*Knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
*Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
*Strong organisational and time management skills
