Due to an internal promotion we are seeking a Product Development Manager to join our Central Design and Engineering team in York. You will be responsible for the resource planning and management of the central design & engineering Product Design resource and external specialists, under the leadership of the Head of Product Design & Engineering.

Management and implementation of the New product development and continuous product development processes.

Role Details 

  • Role based: York, YO32 9PT
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the New Product Introduction Process under the leadership of the Head of Design, Engineering and Innovation and aligned with the Product Roadmap
  • Manage the development of appropriate technical and operational solutions to ensure overall and ongoing product portfolio compliance in a cost-effective and timely manner and in support of the strategic objectives of the business.  
  • Recruitment, mentoring and the career development of Functional staff.
  • Undertake annual reviews, identify development areas and progress appropriate learning and development activities supporting the development of our performance culture.
