Role: Senior Learning Specialist
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 + Bonus
Location: York, YO32 9PT
We’re seeking a Senior Learning Specialist to join our team and lead the development and delivery of impactful learning solutions in support of business strategy. As a key member of the L&D team, this newly created position will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth and in helping bring out the absolute best in our people.
You’ll already be an expert in quickly getting to grips with the people development needs of an organisation and in building trusting relationships to deliver results with and through others. You are creative and customer-orientated and apply your extensive L&D knowledge and experience to optimise the commercial value delivered to the organisation. You enjoy and excel at collaborating with others to make a real difference to both people and results.
As a Senior Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough needs assessments within the business and designing, implementing and facilitating engaging learning solutions for employees at all levels. You will analyse the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement, whilst keeping up to date with L&D best practice and technologies.

As a Senior Learning Specialist, you will have:
- Experience in designing and delivering effective learning and development solutions in international organisations of a similar size and set up to Portakabin.
- Track record of successfully sourcing and managing relationships with strategic partners/suppliers
- Up to date working knowledge of L&D best practice and LMS/LXPs (we use Docebo).
- Strong consultancy and collaboration skills, with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of stakeholders and build effective relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A real passion for learning and for making a difference to people and results.
